![]() Dude, give the movie a shot. McCarthy is ****ing hirlarious in the way she's able to be so self depracating on one hand, but badass as all hell when the plot calls for it. And extremely potty mouthed too.

No he's wrong as usual. 1 and 2 are fine and more race centric but 3 takes a detour. Cool movie if you like drifting/japan but the main actor ruins it for me. 4 kind of reboots the series into what it is today. So 4, 5 and 6 are pretty great but missing that old school underground racing aspect to it. 7 decided to give us a little drag strip race but meh it was a tease and still followed the formula that 4 set up but with more ridiculous over the top shit happening.
Oh I woke up at like 3 in the morning and ended up re-watching Spring Breakers and I guess I saw more of the social commentary that the film was making this time around than when I saw it in the movie theaters. I remember cursing at the screen as the credits rolled.

Even without the avatar, he's not going to trust my taste because he's a hater like you.

Yeah, I don't hate those movies, I just don't give a ****. It's entirely indifference that I wouldn't begrudge turning into appreciation. Besides the 3rd one (wasn't my idea) I don't even know if I've seen one of them all the way through.

![]() ![]() Uncle John An unassuming killer's nephew visits him as he deals with the aftermath of one of his murders in a small Wisconsin town. It's divided into two parts: the nephew's storyline and the uncle's. The nephew's side borders on rom com while the uncle lives through a gritty thriller. Imo they take way too long to connect and that really dragged down the film for me. They're just so jarringly different and apart from some easy to miss references, can seem kind of unrelated entirely up until they intersect. This could have been solved through some flashback or something. When they do connect it's really solid and I loved the payoff and character development. Very well made film with some flaws but also a lot of really strong features like the camerawork, the acting, the soundtrack, and the tension building. A firm 4.5/5

Memento. First time in at least a decade.
Saw it first in the theater "backwards". Then bought the DVD and figured out how to watch in chronological order. Was cool to watch it again the proper way. The Nolan brothers are as good as it gets.
