Watched You're Next. Was highly badass with awesome characters and early character drama that made me forget that I was watching a horror movie until the dude took an arrow to the knee/head. Main chick gave me a Joss Whedon Badass Female Protagonist Boner.

Started watching the Dawn of the Dead remake until realizing that it was apparently not good enough for me to remember that I'd already seen it.

Now watching Audition cause I only watched the first twenty minutes or so a few years ago and god damn did I want to finish it.
What about Sinister?

I just quoted that post because I was too lazy to find your original request. It is indeed cool. I watched it again today.

**** Sinister.
Fun at the start, quickly ruined by lame ****ing ghost children and a villain who looks like he's from Slipknot.

This is my exact reason for never having watched that movie.

Like I said, it was cool, but the kids and Corey Taylor weren't exactly the highpoint.

Yeah the tension in that movie was great. I didn't care about the big bad plus he doesn't really show up much til the end anyways.

You should definitely check out Insidious though.

A lot of people feel this way about super hero movies and want them to be more than JUST a cheesy superhero movie but I'm totally fine with that and this growing need for people to have more than what superhero movies were intended to be just rubs me the wrong way. Yes they might be good movies but they aren't the same as a good superhero movie. I haven't watched Logan yet so I'm not really commenting on Logan specifically just the general attitude from non comicbook fans and certain comic book fans.

The premise and themes of neglect are strong enough to hold it up. The payoff definitely could have been better though.

Think about it though, what's scarier: some family getting killed in a small town or a new incarnation of Slipknot, out there in the world, waiting to make a big impact on the music world with diluted metal ideas?

I love cheesy comic book movies, but they need to branch out more and not be as reliant on the Marvel movie formula. More movies like Logan could help to make superhero movies a viable genre that might stand the test of time rather than being a bubble that will eventually burst.

I know I'm among Melissa McCarthy haters but watched Spy again last night and it's still hilarious. Every time Strathan and McCarthy interact it's pure gold. I don't even know how they were able to get final takes where neither of them broke up.
