True Grit: The remake. A complete masterpiece on every level. So glad it was the Coen's that took this on.

I remember seeing that and thinking how dumb it was that every character sounded so smart. You're uneducated hicks who may or may not be able to read and write, and yet you sound like ****ing Old West Shakespeare? Kinda destroyed suspension of disbelief.

I ****ing hate John Wayne and any generation stupid enough to think he's any better than Sylvester Stallone or Arnold Schwarzenegger (omg aside from missing one "g" I actually spelled that right first try).

There's no G in Arnold though?

Ja the only John Wayne worth his slot in history is John Wayne Gacy.

Took in The Great Train Robbery (1903) and the Buster Keaton classic, The General (1926).

Wonderfully suspenseful and entertaining pictures!

Huh? The only two characters that came across as educated were La Boeuf and Mattie. The rest, although displaying period correct manners, came across as pretty uneducated.

I mean the way they talked. It was like what someone who'd never talked to poor white trash would imagine people from the old west might sound like. Just listen to the way these people talk. They enunciate. "What is your intention?" Who the **** ever talked like that?

It's because of the audience that their films attract.
