Do you want the whole movie to be the same thing? No twists or turns? Batman doesn't have super powers so why wouldn't he try to have the upper hand by any means necessary in regards to guns etc? Seems as though the criticism that you talk about are just petty way to pick the movie apart. I did like it for what it is, and a good movie is what it is. |

I agree except for the points I mentioned.

The killing thing didn't really bother me, but that's more because I didn't care about the movie in general. I definitely don't see why they did it though.

It's a dry humour. The funny parts in that aspect had me rolling.

I was seeing some humor up until the crazy chick killed David's brother. From that point on it was total dystopian darkness for me. Again, major props to the two leads, who've been always rated high in "sexiest" polls, for baring everything for the movie.

The Last Waltz
The Band's final concert in 1976 at the famed Winterland Ballroom with a who's who of special guests. Scorcese long before he became a household name directs one of the greatest concert films. Timeless stuff.

Okay, I finally saw The Arrival and I got to read all the spoilers stuff. I kind of wish I didn't read the praise from MB and went in with whatever was left of me knowing too much before going into it. I see what other people see in it but I'm too much of a hater and had way too much expectations for it. I left slightly disappointed with one or two major questions on my mind that went unanswered. I'm like yeah, I'm going to have to go home and google theories now.
I quoted a crap load of those spoiler posts but I'm just going to comment in my own spoiler box. Spoiler for Spilled Milk:
I also saw Fantastic Beasts, which I truly enjoyed. Now I know what M.A.G.U.S. means. I have a shirt that talks about Oblivators and I actually understand my shirt now. I had no idea what any of that meant prior.
