You didn't see The Truman show? I think that was his first attempt at a serious role...he was much better in Eternal sunshine though...

If you view it as a comedy, it's actually quite enjoyable. But yes, Whalberg's acting was pathetic at best.

He is outstanding in 'Man In The Moon' too.

True, forgot about that one. Although he does get to act out his craziness there, unlike in Eternal sunshine...

I watched "The Dark Knight" again last night...it's such a great ****in' film!!!

btw, I enjoy Jim Carrey in his serious roles as well, especially in "The Truman Show",where I think he should at list had been nominated for an oscar. "Eternal Sunshine..." is an overall better movie, but I prefer his performance as Truman Burbank.

I thought this was a pretty good movie - it really makes you think about the implications of genetic profiling.

This was fucking bizarre but its mood was oddly engaging. The fact that I was flat out exhausted (end of the week) whilst watching it probably made it trippier.

I didn't have high expectations for this one before seeing it at the cinema (mainstream romantic comedy, yawn), but it surprised me. It was a bit soppy as expected but still somewhat funny/clever. Gervais had a pretty unusual role here but I feel he did a good job.

This was a beautiful film and the soundtrack is great too. I'd like to watch it again to better understand it.

Trust me when I say this, I reallly wanted to like this movie. I went into the movie thinking this is going to be the best ever.. and then it happen.. flopped. Easily 50-60% of the movie was based around the commissioner. If i was reading a book this would be great to fill in the details, but for a movie put me to sleep. You arguable have one of the best acting jobs in Heath Ledger and hes barely in the movie. And the Joker gets caught by the comminssioner with a gun, so lame. They did a great job describing how 2 face came to be, but in doing so as mentioned above neglected the best acting job by health ledger. I don't know if i am too cynical on the movie but half of it seemed to ramble on incoherantly.
