My question was serious.. I don't have a strong grasp of the intricacies of the engrish language. Why is it correct to say running rampant, but if I replace running with posting I have to use rampantly?

Seldom, again, also, soon, already, and instead are all adverbs that do not end in ly. That golden rule they taught you in school was a lie.
