Syriana.
Incredible film making with killer acting and cinematography..... but, the story is so damn convoluted and honestly, confusing, that it's really hard to tell what the motivations of the multitudes of characters are. Was chatting with Frowny about Traffic earlier. That's a movie that made this sort of ambitious storytelling work. Syriana, not so much.

Independence Day: Resurgence. I thought it was a really entertaining movie. I don't understand what people were expecting exactly. If you go to see it then you are probably a fan of the first one....was everyone expecting oscar-worthy material here? It's aliens coming to kill everyone. This isn't very heady stuff.
Lots of things blow up. Jeff Goldblum is in it. Data makes the whole movie. Hell, I'd gladly see it again.

Kinda, yeah, but mostly I was just making a joke. I mean, how often do movies with corpse fucking scenes come out?
