It was my first-ever viewing. Tomorrow I'm following it up with Scanners. Do a shot every time you recognize dialog from a psybient techno record.

Syriana.

Incredible film making with killer acting and cinematography..... but, the story is so damn convoluted and honestly, confusing, that it's really hard to tell what the motivations of the multitudes of characters are.

Was chatting with Frowny about Traffic earlier. That's a movie that made this sort of ambitious storytelling work. Syriana, not so much.
