The Bank Job - completely unbelievable
The guy's got a bag full of cash and a smokin' hot girl all over his stick that wants to disappear with him and he sticks with the wife and kids. Absurd |

Q (1982)
Tongue-in-cheek, intentionally schlocky movie about the Aztec winged serpent god Quetzlcoatl living in the Chrysler building and feeding on the residents of New York City. This movie stars both David Carradine and Richard Roundtree so you know it's going to be something special. Is it the greatest movie ever made? No. Is it a must-see for anyone who digs B-movies? Yes, absolutely. It's a highly entertaining, exciting movie with some really memorable moments. The special effects haven't aged well, but for me at least, the herky-jerky claymation effects of the monster are part of the appeal. |

I know, obviously it's a New Zealand film. I just think it's funny that the only well-known film that can come out of them is one about sheep. When everybody knows NZ get poked fun at about the sheep. Etc.

Great movie. Great fun and effects:
Not quite as good as I was hoping for but well made and great ending:

It's the second time that I have seen this fantastic gentle road movie. If this movie was a European movie then it would have had a lot more exposure. Beautiful, lyrical and with an exquisite soundtrack:

^That's also in my top 5 faves.
I just watched Human Nature (also directed by Michel Gondry, and written by Charlie Kaufman). It was pretty hilarious, not as good as Kaufman's others but it was still a very entertaining film. |
