I don't have too. It was way too obvious that Matrix borrowed from it. I've seen the Matrix two or three times.

OK, I need to get into the 20's so I might have a "Roaring 20's" marathon going on for a few days. Not sure if it'll happen, but if it does, here's the list.

The Adventures of Robin Hood
The Jazz Singer
The Passion of Joan of Arc
Sherlock Jr.
The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari
The Underground
Nosferatu
The Phantom of the Opera
Wings

Starting Metropolis. 30 minutes in, but it's so good it felt like 10. SO, altogether, that's 10 films from the twenties.

Oh, heck yeah. That's a favorite I forgot to mention. I love how Ang Lee made the supposedly unfilmable movie so packed with story and yet, so uniquely visual. The underwater scene was brilliant.

How many movies did the Matrix get inspired by? I know about Dark City and Ghost in The Shell, but I've heard there's more, but I don't know which ones...

I know Serial Experiments Lain had a small influence on it. Not a movie, but something.

Touch of Evil.

What'd you think? I believe I posted about the movie in this thread but that'd be like 50 pages ago by now. I thought it was good overall but uneven and that the Seth Rogen parts blew away the other two character's respective parts

Just saw Deadpool, and everything I could have asked for was in that movie.
