Die Hard - 8/10

holdyoualways 02-10-2008 06:51 PM

war-was kind of stupid up until the end where everything kinda came together
death proof-dumb & boring & drawn out in the beginning but got interesting afterwards
princess bride-actually quite funny, not as mushy as i thought it would be
dogma-not my favorite kevin smith movie but still good

acratertocoffin 02-10-2008 08:32 PM

Princess Bride is my favorite film of all time.

Nosmada 02-10-2008 09:26 PM

just finished watching The Kingdom, i really like this movie alot. The ending is really well done.

holdyoualways 02-11-2008 09:36 AM

oh & i also saw empire records
which was really good, very funny & cool movie

MURDER JUNKIE 02-11-2008 10:08 AM

The Brown Bunny

Absolute shit, I am convinced that Vinnie Gallo's whole premise for this movie was to get Chloe Sevigny to give him a blowjob.

I want Vinnie Gallo shot for stealing 2 hours of my time, and the blowjob was about as inspired as a handshake

Bleh.
6/10

Edit: Actually, I'm gonna be fair and give it 7/10, it had Tilda Swinton and Tom Wilkinson. <3
Wasn't bad, just forgettable.

More fun than it deserved to be.

cardboard adolescent 02-12-2008 06:49 PM

the only thing I remember from that movie was him beating the crap out of some chinese bitch, which pretty much made the movie for me.

jackhammer 02-12-2008 06:59 PM

TBH it was terrible but in a good way. Sometimes I just want to zone out when i'm watching a film. This did the job. The trouble arises when people genuinely think it's a great movie...

iLoveBlood 02-13-2008 05:17 PM

Vincent Gallo is overrated. I just tried to watch Buffalo '66 again for the first time since I was 15. couldn't even sit through it. I wouldn't even waste my time on Brown Bunny.

There Will Be Blood - astounding, a truly incredible cinematic experience, see it in the theater. 9.5/10

Is that "The Killer" with Chow Yun Fat???

adidasss 02-13-2008 05:29 PM

Most definitely. Sorry man, I get an allergic reaction to 80's cheese. Chow Yun Fat is the asian godfather of cool, no doubt, and the GAZZILION of people who were gunned down was fun to see, but I just couldn't get over the cheese..........:(

MURDER JUNKIE 02-13-2008 05:31 PM

The fight with the blind girl in the room was really cool, I think Hard Boiled is 10 times the film "The Killer" is.

And Chow is hands down the coolest

Sparky 02-13-2008 05:42 PM

NEVER....................................second guess Hard Boiled!!!! :nono:

As for the latest film I've seen:

The Brave One - I liked this film better when it starred Charles Bronson and he was wasting scum like it's going out of style, however it confirmed my suspicion that Jodie Foster still has great tits and Terrance Howard is one of the best actors in film today.

All in all

6/10

When I was a freshman I ran track with a guy named Michael Clayton.

I washed The Prestige and The Machinist this past Saturday both are amazing and I have to watch again.

SATCHMO 02-13-2008 10:22 PM

I'm in the middle of watching Atonement. Pretty good so far.

adidasss 02-14-2008 03:23 AM

The good part ends in the middle... ;)

One of the best films of 2007. Absolutely wonderful.

jackhammer 02-16-2008 08:39 AM

I have liked Gosling since I saw him in the vastly underated The Believer way back in 2001.

i agree :D

did you see "half nelson"?

jackhammer 02-16-2008 12:31 PM

WB Matious. I've seen Half Nelson. Pretty damn good.

adidasss 02-16-2008 02:32 PM

I thought HN was vastly overrated... I guess that sorta evens out the injustice...;)
But yeah, he is a damn fine actor. :)

MrsBrightside 02-17-2008 09:15 AM

"Ocean's 13"
Quite boring:(

Sparky 02-17-2008 04:06 PM

"the counterfeiters"

amazing, the germen audience is retarded for not liking it.

I watched Jumper 6/10.....not much character development/background history but I wasn't expecting too much from the movie. I figured I'd better read the book. With that being said, it was still below my expections.

Untraceable 4/10......I'm a fan of the Saw movies so I happened to like his tortures but not the reason behind why he picked his victims....lame.

Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins 7/10 it was decent for a family flick and it's nice to see black actors supporting black actors....ahaha...no but seriously it was a decent comedy

Sparky 02-18-2008 04:09 PM

Gone Baby Gone-
superb besides an underwhelming ending. Ben Aflecks 1st directing job was great.

We Own The Night-
stupid

Alfred 02-18-2008 04:30 PM

I saw the Blues Brothers yesterday, even though I've seen it before. Classic hilarious movie.

I absolutly love that movie, seen it a million times, and it always makes me laugh, even if it is really dumb

What is the deal with these guys? Sub par Tarantino dialogue for the frat boy fraternity. Terrible film masquerading as a piece of cool.

adidasss 02-23-2008 05:35 PM

I loved it. I thought it was just a sweet and realistic film. Surprisingly mature and filled with fresh humor...:|

The Assassination of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford
8/10

Really well shot and great performances from Affleck and Pitt. Not really worth 3 hours though.

That's the problem it is far from realistic.

adidasss 02-24-2008 04:03 AM

What's unrealistic about it?
