Excellent movie. The mauling will go down in history as one of the most amazing scenes ever filmed. The ending Spoiler for Spoiler:
felt a little corny, but that's a very minor criticism for an overall amazing movie.

I agree the book was fantastic. Scorcese always does well with violent portrayals and has a good vision for narratives.

Watched The Revanent today and I just have to say that surviving sucks. Great film, I especially loved the camerawork.

Sicario. Great great flick. Incredible acting. All of the leads are killer but Benicio steals almost every scene he's in. The cinematography will likely get an Oscar nod.

has some okay dialogue but overall not on par with quentin's other works. It seems like the film was in response to the terrific response to the dialogue scenes of inglorious bastards, as such the film was pitched as a marathon of such scenes. This results in an unambitious plot and less inspired characters. Still worth watching, but not very memorable. Put it along foxy brown or w/e that film was called. |
