Just out of curiosity, which one was the one you liked out of the Three Colors trilogy? I liked all of them, but I thought Red was the greatest of them by far.

I think it's curious that almost everyone has a different favorite. I liked Blue the best. It was a combination of the most spectacular musical score, cinematography and casting (Juliette Binoche is 10 times the actress Irène Jacob is). I'm not sure why I don't like Jacob, but she pretty much ruined The double life of Veronica for me too. I guess I just don't like weak, stupid women (which she either is or portrays incredibly well). As for White, I simply don't think Kieslowski was good at comedy (he made a similar attempt with the last episode of the Dekalog which features the same lead actor and fails similarly). Anyhow, I'll re-evaluate them all after I've seen the rest of his films. I think I may have gone about exploring his filmography the wrong way by starting at the end and moving backward.

Pretty spectacular. 8/10

Y'know. Barfly was about his life... this was about his writing. I still prefer Barfly, but this wasn't bad at all. In fact, I'd go so far to say that it was good. The score was good, though the actual songs in it didn't tickle me. Dillon did a suprisingly good job at portraying Buk's alter ego, Henry Chinaski. I was well stoked.

"If yer gonna try, you gotta go all the way. It could mean losing women...sleeping on park benches... but when you come through you'll ride straight into laughter." - Henry Chinaski

Law of desire - Pedro Almodovar - 6/10 I just can't get into his 80's stuff: :\

The Thing - John Carpenter - 7/10 Pretty good horror, but I doubt I'll ever watch it again.

"It's just a Cougar but its got a pretty big trunk." classic line.

The Thing-number 2 on my fave Horror films. It's a bleak but brilliant slice of paranoia, AIDS allegory and never bettered physical F/X.

Matador is probably the best of Almodovar's 80's output.

Just watched Music and Lyrics, with Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore; best romantic comedy I've ever seen.
