True, but my estimate is that you're either going to be watching a lot of movies or being really bored all the time if that's your criteria.

And the Coen bros rule.

I've seen way fewer movies than you people, but the Coen brothers are absolutely the coolest. (Shout out to my second-favorite pair of brothers who make movies, the Duplasses!)

PTA is way better than the Coens. Still some of my favourite current filmmakers.
Disagree that he's fallen off. The Master is genius and Inherent Vice is an insane amount of fun.

Arguing between PTA and the Coens is like arguing between Zeppelin and The Beatles. They are both top shelf. Putting down either makes you look stupid.

That said, There Will be Blood is the most overrated movie of all time IMO.

What in the world? It is pretty critically acclaimed but not canonised enough to win that label.

I've only seen it once and was left with a big WTF at the end. Technically speaking it's breathtaking, but the base story is just daft.

In that era a character as vile and threatening as Daniel would have been shot in the back of the head outside of a saloon long before he rose to glory. Dudes as bat-**** crazy as that just didn't survive back then.
