Came out a year after I was born... I guess it had it's moments. The actress who played Daisy was a totebabe. Never even heard of it but it's free on youtube and was in my bookmarks for some reason so there you go.

Re-watched this last night for the first time in ages. What a freaking great movie on so many levels. Such a trip seeing Reese so young again. http://la-screenwriter.com/wp-conten...itherspoon.jpg It's on Netflix BTW. |
Tracy Flick is her best role in my opinion. She's so great.

Metropolitan Having myself a bit of a Whit Stillman marathon because I had never seen any of his films before. Absolutely loved this one. The characters are oh so loathable yet very endearing at the same time. The true mark of a well developed character. The themes are explored beautifully too. I love films where people just sit around talking. I really like the idea that this movie is essentially a modern version of a lot of the books that the characters discuss. Very interesting idea. Acted beautifully from essential unknowns too. 9/10 http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...ess_poster.jpg Damsels In Distress This one is great too. I love how it's essentially the same plot as Metropolitan. Greta Gerwig is one of the most likeable actresses going right now. Also loved how this film fits neatly into the kind of quirky indie film genre while also deconstructing and commenting on it. 7/10 |
