I don't think I would have enjoyed it as much without weed. Weed makes everything better ^^

It was before your time, dude. You have to be a child of the nineties for that movie to work.

Came out a year after I was born... I guess it had it's moments. The actress who played Daisy was a totebabe. Never even heard of it but it's free on youtube and was in my bookmarks for some reason so there you go.

I watched that movie like fifty million times when I was a Bat-tyke, right at the height of the Super Mario World hysteria. It's awesomeness is one of the few things Sansa and I ever agreed on.

There it is. Christ that was irritating me. Yeah she was actually the one who recommended it to me and gave me the links.

My son was born in 1989. Spent thousands of hours during the 90s alternating between Mario Bros. and The Power Rangers.

Re-watched this last night for the first time in ages. What a freaking great movie on so many levels. Such a trip seeing Reese so young again.

It's on Netflix BTW.

Tracy Flick is her best role in my opinion. She's so great.

Almost agree. Everyone in the movie is so spot on. And the flick is well made on all levels. Some really creative camera and visual effect stuff.

I still think it's Alexander Payne's best film too.

Metropolitan
Having myself a bit of a Whit Stillman marathon because I had never seen any of his films before. Absolutely loved this one. The characters are oh so loathable yet very endearing at the same time. The true mark of a well developed character. The themes are explored beautifully too. I love films where people just sit around talking. I really like the idea that this movie is essentially a modern version of a lot of the books that the characters discuss. Very interesting idea. Acted beautifully from essential unknowns too. 9/10

Damsels In Distress
This one is great too. I love how it's essentially the same plot as Metropolitan. Greta Gerwig is one of the most likeable actresses going right now. Also loved how this film fits neatly into the kind of quirky indie film genre while also deconstructing and commenting on it. 7/10
