No but seriously, what movie are you talking about? I tried to think of any other disaster movie that he made but nothing is ringing a bell.

Ha, Life Aquatic! I finally saw it last week and while it wasn't as amazing as the Grand Budapest, it was great too. I liked the look on my friends faces (i invited several folks over) as they were trying to figure out what genre this movie belong to :D
The only thing I didn't particularly like were the David Bowie songs .... in Portuguese. But then again I'm not a Bowie fan so what do I know ;)
So I now have 3 Wes Anderson movies behind me (Grand Budapest, Life Aquatic and Inc Mr Fox) - which one should I watch next ?
Yac.

I just looked it up and I'm guessing he's talking about some mini-series about global warming called Years of Living Dangerously. I guess I'm just not big enough a nerd to know everything James Cameron ever did.

Actually I've been watching that and didn't know James Cameron was involved with it.

I just wanted to see actors/actresses interacting like human beings for once in a different setting.

Yesterday i saw Belly and State property on Netflix..

Belly still looks great, i like how that film looks it's like one big Hype williams video but with a gangsta plot..

State property is like the opposite it looks like a low budget made for tv film but i like the main character 'Beans' and the attitude he brought to the role, Jay-z though can suck a big fat dick! he makes little cameos in the film as if he is the Big boss man, like he is the one pulling the strings behind the scenes but really the only "gangsta" thing he ever does is tell Damon's character to kidnap Bean's girl and that's it.

The Abyss. I thought it would be obvious since that was the movie being discussed to begin with.

All the references were to movies James Cameron directed. He hasn't really directed very many in his career so I thought you'd be able to at least figure it out by process of elimination.

I'm gonna side with Jansz on this one. The Abyss was a pretty decent film. Just for the cinematography alone it was the worth the time. And just by calling them an Alien aquatic species that does not imply they are not of this world.

Guardians of the Galaxy

i almost never go to movies this big on opening night....but i honestly just could not wait....worth every penny

so putting aside what you may or may not know about the Marvel Universe.....this movie is nothing short of an absolute blast.....just pure simple fun....it actually made me feel like a kid watching blockbuster 80s flicks....the soundtrack helps :)

the effects are exactly what you would expect from a film this big and this promoted....and although i'm not a huge fan of 3d....this one was more layered (much like the 3d in Prometheus) rather than pop out effects

all of the characters are more or less well developed....except the villains....esp Ronan and Nebula....but hell you can't get everything

the spot after the credits made jump out of my fucking seat!

and made me think of an old member here :)
