lol. agreed. it was a nice surprise though that movie. my favourite vampire movie ever is still the blatantly obvious 'Interview With A Vampire'... i am about to watch Takeshi Kitano's 'Sonatine' on video. Back when every film he did could be described as 'the Japanese Dirty Harry' |

No Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance.
it was pretty good, I recommend it, a tad bit violent though so don't watch it if that **** gets to you.

An interesting take on the tried and trusted vigilante film but with a gender switch, the film becomes more than just a typical genre film. Many plus points: Jodie Foster is exemplary as usual and Terence Howard is excellent as a cop on her trail and although it is violent, it is never gratuitous. Minus points: Naveem Andrews (Lost) as Fosters boyfriend is quite frankly useless and the story could have become even murkier and amoral if say Abel Ferrara directed. Nevertheless a decent movie with a little more thought than the average blockbuster. PS-Molecules:The Greatest ever vampire film is Near Dark. Tangerine Dream soundtrack. Gorgeous visuals and Bill Paxton superb. Highly recommended.

YES. I agree. With Catherine Deneuve who I always mistake for Jessica Lang for some reason... And it flashes back and you see the getting off with eachother in ancient Egypt. I think. Good movie anyway. Vampire Bowie ftw |

The Ten. I was stoked about this movie because it was from the creators of MTV's "The State" which I personally loved while it was on. Plus it had a great cast list: Fammke Jenssen, Adam Brody, Winona Ryder, and many others. The plot is ten short, intertwining satires on the Ten Commandments. Where could one possibly go wrong? Apparently everywhere. The stories were mildly funny with only very loose ties to one another. Half way through the movie I began keeping track of how many vignettes I had left until it was over. Save yourself the couple dollars and see Tropic Thunder again instead.
