She was great in Bend it like Beckham. She was also good in Domino, Atonement, and Love Actually. She also starred in the mega hit Pirates of the Carribean movies. I think shes a very attractive girl.

Out of that list, I only approve of her performance in Domino

Yesterday I went with my mom and boyfriend to see Jurassic Park in 3D Imax. Honestly, this was the first time I ever saw the movie, and it was EPIC! I read the book by Michael Crichton a few years ago, and I think the movie captures it pretty well. And the Imax is just awesome.

Domino was great. The rest fall under the chick flick guidelines/dialogue movies. I didn't necessarily find them extremely great but they are well rated movies in particular.

I really enjoyed Bend It Like Beckham, it was a nice little comedy. I thought she was also good in Pride & Prejudice.

They should have gone into more detail about the extraction of the dna from the amber fly, I thought that part was particularly interesting and took up a few chapters of the book. The movie was good though. Much better then Sphere or Congo, two good books ruined by Hollywood.

I may see Atonement one day because I've heard of her performance being pretty spectacular in it but haven't seen it yet and I'm not a big fan of those Pirates movies.

The last movie I saw was Olympus Has Fallen and once you turn your brain off and realize that some of the things that happened the US military/Secret Service wouldn't let happen then you'll enjoy it more.

Has anyone seen the recent Evil Dead?
I need to go back and re-watch the Bruce Campbell one.

I enjoyed it for the most part but the first half of the movie seemed to take itself too seriously and I can't remember if the original one was just unintentionally funny or was it campy on purpose.

I'm guessing you must be younger than me. I was like five or six when that movie came out and I'm pretty sure everyone on Earth saw it, and if you were a kid that movie ruled your ****ing life. I have no idea how many times I saw that movie in the theater. The next time I would have a movie experience that mind blowing was when Star Wars Special Edition was in theaters.

The Chernobyl Diaries

Pile of sh*t. Seriously, it was that bad. These Americans need to take a note from Australians on how to do a good found footage/fake documentary film such as The Tunnel or Lake Mungo because I'm getting real tired of **** movies like this that take every single easy path to make a scare. Even Grave Encounters was better than this because at least there was a bit of acting in that. Rubbish.

Happy - Go - Lucky

You're only going to enjoy this if you like films that focus on characters and nothing else. I enjoyed this for the performances; Sally Hawkins and Eddie Marsan were incredible. A lot of people are going to find Hawkins' character annoying but I found her endearing and a purely happy person. Definitely worth the watch.

Humpday

Well that was weird. Not really much to say about this one because it's a great ride to go on but a very weird film. Again this one focuses on character and not really much else. If you like Mark Duplass and his films then you'll like this one despite the incredibly awkward premise.

3/5

The Apartment

I'm starting to attack classic films that I haven't seen yet and this marks my first Billy Wilder film and what a great start. I loved it. Jack Lemmon is just so damn fantastic in everything and Shirley MaClaine was lovely. The film also deals with some pretty heavy events and besides the strange happy ending was a perfect blend of comedy and drama.

4.5/5

The Bay

This one was entertaining. It's far from great but certainly not bad at all. It's shot like a fake documentary with hand held footage being shown but it had some very unique and haunting scenes of horror that stuck with me for a while. The acting was so so and the story had a nice biological and real twist at the end. I'd say it's definitely worth the watch.
