An old 70s political thriller starring Warren Beatty (and ONLY him: seriously. Everyone else was a "co-star" --- how does he get that head through his door?) which was boring, confusing, frustrating and annoying all at once. Very bad (if shock) ending, nothing tied up and way too many questions left unanswered.

Oh yeah. It was called "The Parallax view". I'd recommend steering clear. Even for a 70s movie this was bad...

Stardust

Pretty good fantasy movie directed by Matthew Vaughn who made X Men First Class and Kick Ass. The lead performances weren't very memorable besides De Niro. This is my favorite performance of his since Casino. What made the movie for me was the direction and the story by Neil Gaimon. Very tight and well put together. I'd recommend it if you've been waiting for a good fantasy movie to go along with your Princess Bride dvd.

7/10

Sleepwalk with Me

Loved this one. I've been a fan of Mike Birbiglia lately and he was just fantastic in all aspects in his movie. I loved how he narrated to the camera throughout the film and his scenes of sleepwalking are almost as funny as Step Brothers. Definitely a light hearted movie about a true story between two people.

Dredd

Great B-Movie action that would of had a better rating from me if I hadn't seen The Raid a couple weeks ago. I know they're not connected in any way but the plot is nearly identical. Definitely a good watch if you like blood and gore and highly stylized action.

Thankskilling on netflix last night, its about a psychotic killer turkey so I just had to watch it. It was laughably bad but those really are the best movies at 2 in the morning.

Hermoine should like this one:

Not too bad. Steve Zahn's part seemed a bit forced, and I felt like it might turn into "Saving Silverman" at any moment, but for the most part the movie left a lingering impression.

Herzog is notorious for doing that.

Elevator

Honestly, I was hoping for something better, but I couldn't get past the terrible acting and the awkward pauses between the dialogue. The plot could have been a great one if the director made the movie a little more...dark. I got a half hour in and decided to switch to a comedy to sort of recover from the disappointment.

Four Rooms (1995)
I've been meaning to see this since it came out. Turns out I wasn't missing much. The last two segments were a lot better than the first two, but still a pretty weak movie. Nevertheless, I'm glad I finally got around to it.

Margaret

It took almost seven years for this film to be released. I think the wait and the push to get it made was worth it. I liked the movie. It was very very complex and the acting was very good. Is it some sort of contract clause that states that Anna Paquin has to seduce a teacher? It's like every single movie. I'd say that mostly every single character in the film is pretty unlikeable but I feel that makes the film more compelling to watch because of the dislike of the character. I thought Anna Paquin played the part of the private school NYC girl perfectly. I know these types of people. It was spot on. The ending was also quite powerful and emotional. Overall it was a bit too long but I really enjoyed it. It might be one of those films though that may require repeat viewings but might not be too easy.

For some reason Tim Roth's character annoys me so much that I can't get past the very beginning.
