It's surely dated. When it was re-released in cinemas around...10 years ago (?), people laughed at every inopportune moment, annoying me quite a bit, though some of the laughs was from getting scared without wanting to admit it. As a 70s movie, though, it rests safely among the cream of the crop....well, IF you like this subgenre, that is.

I love The Exorcist. It scared the crap out of me the first time I watched it, though I wasn't nearly as terrified the second time.

In addition, though, it has sublime acting by Ellen Burstyn, Max von Sydow, Jake J. Cobb and Linda Blair, and that fact can't be denied.
I like supernatural horror more than slasher horror too, and because of that I had wanted to see The Exorcist for many, many years. I finally got around to it in my mid-twenties, I was sorely disappointed. I found a lot of the acting pretty poor actually and a lot of the movie just flat out dull, except for the possession scenes which I found hilariously funny.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Ellen Burstyn overacts in that movie.

Did someone seriously make this movie? and Horror / B movies get a bad rap? This certainly made up for it though. Jaime Pressly. Very very hot.

Torque was kind of fun to watch it came out around the time they had a few other biker movies.

Biker Boyz was another one I believe.

What about the bike-fu scene?

I'm pretty sure the blatant product placements for Mountain Dew and Pepsi were the only reasons that film was made.

The Fugitive (US 1993), but I fell asleep about half an hour from the end. The flashbacks to the murder are unpleasant and Tommy Lee Jones's over-acting wore me out. I would prefer to see a repeat of the orginal TV series with David Janssen and Barry Morse.

ABC actually has a third channel now that has reruns of The Fugitive.
