Once Upon a Time in Anatolia

A very slow and somewhat boring film about a search for a body in the grasslands of Turkey. The cinematography was gorgeous and I appreciated the attention to characters but I found it way too slow and I usually love slow burns. I'm going to have to give this one another view because I've heard great things from it's director and the film did take home the grand jury prize and Cannes last year. I'm not going to rate this one just yet because I feel like there is just too much under this films skin that I have yet to see.

Trollheart...I have no idea why the s is in parenthesis. It's a french film so maybe it has something to do with that culture but I don't have an answer for you my friend.

Mulholland Dr.

A gorgeous, frightening, surreal, hypnotic mindfuck. All I'm going to say about that. Lynch/10

Wendy and Lucy

I nice little minimalist film that did just enough to peak my interest but succeeded in making me a bigger fan of Michelle Williams. She's incredible and can just pour emotion onto the screen without doing a lot. I can recommend this one on the basis that it's a film that shows a lot without really anything happening but it isn't incredibly special.

7/10

As cliche and shlockey as you can get without being Sleepaway Camp. Horrible but great.

3/10
7.5/10 bad movie rating

Such ridiculous praise this movie is getting. I thought it was just boring and disjointed. I particularly don't understand the praise Chastain is getting. I'm shocked she's even nominated let alone a favourite to win the award.

I wish I could get the time I wasted watching this film back. The plot was a good idea, but the way they went about it was terrible.

I just saw this too and loved it. I don't know how you could call it boring, it was a logical story of a decade-long search for clues leading to OBL. I found it easy to follow, interesting, and well-paced. Chastain's performance wasn't anything particularly mindblowing, I'll give you that, but she was good nonetheless.

ehh

for a mock documentary the acting was horrible and obviously acted....the attempt to be shocking was shockingly boring and quite stupid and very unrealistic....a friend told me to watch this as it would truly disturb me....the only disturbing thing about it is that i watched it to the end....the little twist involving the cop was entertaining...but so fucking obvious

ehhh

seriously Hellraiser was more realistic and shocking than this piece of crap

Thoroughly enjoyed this sucker recently: its one of the best horror/sci-fi crossovers of the late 80's, featuring a pre-Twin Peaks Kyle MacLachlan, heavy metal, and some nifty special effects. :pimp:
