Some friends and I saw Seven Psychopaths earlier today.

IT WAS GREAT. I definitely recommend it.

Australia continues to be my dark horse for most underrated film culture. I have yet to see an Australian film that I haven't liked. This one was not perfect but had a very enjoyable middle and ending. The film is shot like a documentary similar to Lake Mungo if anybody has seen that one. The found footage aspect is lessened by the insertion on interviews by witnesses and survivors. This made the film a bit less annoying as most found footage films tend to be. Like I said the middle and end were very suspenseful and creepy and while they don't show it much, the "villain" was very well done. I recommend it.

The link to that poster gave me a security warning (a google one, I don't think I've ever seen that before).

I can't win with images these days.

The film was The Tunnel.

Decent enough. It kind of flies along at a hell of a pace and is arguably more of a visual display than a gripping film but it was pretty good. A few good fight scenes, and an axe-gun. Thats right, an axe-gun. Whats not to love?

Wonderful, charming film. No less than I'd expect from the producers of Little Miss Sunshine.

Agreed. Safety Not Guaranteed was an amazing movie. Not sure what I thought of the ending, but I don't think I would've liked it to turn out any other way.

And although Abe Lincoln Vampire Hunter wasn't a great movie by any means, I think it got a lot more criticism than it deserved. I mean, come on. It's Abe Lincoln VAMPIRE HUNTER. It's supposed to be ridiculous! My friends and I were entertained by it, anyways. xD

I love ****ty action movies, but I had no desire to see this movie. It just looked like one big CGI shot. If you're gonna do action, for the love of god don't CG it to death. It removes any sense of reality to the actual action and makes it boring. Same problem with the new Star Wars movies. I don't care how pretty the lightsaber battles looked, or how impressive the choreography, the visual effects killed any sense of reality and just made them boring.

Well until they can have a vampire and a 250 year old American president have a fight on top of a stampeding horde of horses then I'm going to be fine with them using CGI to accomplish that. I understand what you're saying, but there are exceptions to the rule.

The cover is ****. Don't judge the film from the cover. Judge it from me. I liked this one a lot. It's a small film with not a lot of budget for special effects but they utilize the amount they have in the right places. It's a slower burn but when the **** starts to hit it does it in a quirky yet engrossing way. I enjoyed it a lot.

8/10

Nothing new here except it was exactly what I wanted at the time. It's a fast paced short chase thriller. That is all you'll get out of this one. It was okay, but great if that's exactly what you want to watch in a film.

6/10
