I didn't like the prosthetic stuff on JGL face. It was unnecessary and looked like make-up too often. Same goes for the 80's aesthetic. Movie wasn't as gripping as i had expected until the ending. |

![]() ![]() The Descent Solid flick. It's pretty no-bullshit horror - brief, but informative introduction followed by a deep sense of foreboding followed by intense, nonstop terror and violence. The creatures were pretty well-designed and believable, while the violence and gore was expertly handled. Acting was a little subpar at times, but for a fairly low-budget horror film, I'm not going to complain. 7.5/10

I hadn't seen the film for ages and loved it. Apart from the action sequences, I like the way Spielberg portrays the commercialism of the park, with bright coloured uniforms, gaudy vehicles, lunch boxes in the gift shop and the distinctive logo.
