Yawn. Obviously reminded me of the A Team but tried to be a lot cooler and what on earth was up with Chris Evans facial hair? It was a really well made film but there was nothing in it that I haven't already seen before.

More crap. I did quite like the synthetic make up approach they used for the actors but by the end I was hoping that everyone would blow themselves into oblivion. I think I am at that really cynical old man stage where very few films really blow me away or are enjoyable in their own way. Give me a good old B movie 90% of the time because that way I don't have high expectations and can be pleasantly surprised when I see a filmmaker work hard with a tight budget.

Flatliners

A story about a group of young medical students interested in life after death. They do death experiments where one will die under controlled circumstances and the others recussitate. They quickly start to challenge eachother by "being under" longer and longer and all of them have post-death experiences. Yet, as they return to life, something else returns with them ..

It's a sort of horror-thriller mystery movie with an interesting premise, but a shoddy execution. The movie is nice and moody, but the dialogue is often strange and the actions of the protagonists don't always make much sense. Still, it was an entertaining flick. I guess I'd give it a 6 out of 10.

There are a lot of stars in it. Julia Roberts and Kevin Bacon were alright .. Kiefer Sutherland not so much!

Very well acted and loosely based on a true a story regarding an IRA informant in the late 80's. Well worth a watch.

The recent chat about this film reminded me that I bought this over a year ago and never got around to watching it. As usual with Argento films, the script is all over the place but what a great last 20 minutes to the film. Very few directors get close to Argento's visual style and bob, the monkey has a cut throat razor not a sheet of metal

Absolutely loved this movie. It had a down-to-earth feeling of humanity to it, rather than just the usual cops and robbers, shoot 'em up type of stuff. Don't wish to spoil it for anyone, but it was great. Lots of heart. Some laughs as well. I would recommend it. ****/5

To be honest, Resident Evil.

Not usually my kind of flick, but I strangely want to see this. Looks good.

this is mostly a long action segment, so I can't really fault it much - there's no plot to speak of, like the last installment of Harry Potter, Pt 2

at least the choreography is slick, crisp and clear

but for god's sake, can't you get a better Asian actor than Fan Bing Bing? - she sounds and looks like a Chinese newsreader who doesn't know English reading her lines

6/10

So basically what you're saying is the Resident Evil film series is getting better. Maybe by the 12th one they'll actually be good.
