I really only remember one night sequence with him in costume, but I'm talking about the overarching mood of movie here anyway. The setting of the film was largely daytime and it didn't work for me.

I think this film improved on the action tremendously. Improved choreography (especially for batwoman). And i personally loved the lighting and weather effects during the final fight sequence. You don't have a cockey douchey bruce wayne taking up screen time. They already have two films of batman fighting in the dark he had to rise up and kick ass all day in order to save gotham this time |

That's great, but unfortunately it looks really cheesy. |

I very much agree with this. It felt a bit strange how much of the movie wasn't focused on bruce/batman.

Haven't seen a movie in like three months...
I watched A Film With Me In It with Dylan Moran. I had a good time for 90 minutes. Quite the series of unfortunate events... 8.5/10 Last edited by Mrd00d; 07-30-2012 at 02:25 PM. |

"cheesy" isn't a staple of batman's history. Not since his introduction to tv, nor being played by george clooney, no, this film really lays on the cheese. |

With those two things out of the way, why are you assuming I'd want "the exact same character as the previous films"? What does that even mean? I'm saying I would have preferred the main character to be handled in a way that was more three-dimensional. Nolan certainly pulled that off in first two movies, but in this one he really lacked depth. Huh? Did I say this was cheesier than the old TV show or Batman & Robin somewhere? What I'm saying is that it was cheesy compared to the other two Nolan movies. |

I thought it was reiterated in pretty good manor. Quote:

With the characters this film added-catwoman in particular-and the comic locales (raz al ghuls pit) it was certainly going to be more comical than the other films, but I'm just glad they went ahead and did it anyway. |

As far as Bane goes: I was never really a fan of him in the comics, but I've always felt he had potential. I thought if anyone could make him an effective character it would be Nolan. I didn't feel like his portrayal in this movie was any kind of improvement over the comics. He was basically the same, but with an annoying voice. |
