Dark Knight Rises. Epic conclusion to an epic trilogy. There will be some surprises for you all.

Shutter Island

It wasn't bad, but I have to say I was a bit disappointed 'cause one of my friends was telling me how awesome it was and my expectations were way too high.

worst scorsece film i've seen

I can't argue with that since I've seen so few of his films. Gotta take your word for it.

Yeah... it kind of flummoxed me when I saw that he was adapting a Dennis Lahane novel. I mean he's not a bad author, but he's kind of in the same bucket as Stephen King or Clive Barker, enjoyable, but not something that's going to profoundly change your life.

I agree, but I see that as a positive statement about Sorcese because I found Shutter Island to be pretty enjoyable, if quite flawed.

It does a good job of describing the genesis of the series and also includes a massive reference and plot point to the original movie which nobody at work today got despite watching the original but there was so many things wrong too.

We have a 10 year time span in the movie yet everyone looks the same, Brian Cox is phoning his performance in and the last 20 minutes is just too much CGI for me however well it's done.

The plot of the film is in the title really isn't it? and I wasn't surprised enough in the film or given a mind blowing plot twist to make me rethink the whole series.

Maybe I am just a cynical old ****er these days but I was expecting a whole lot more.

I think most people were just surprised at how good it was. I don't think i would have liked it as much if i had gone in with loftier expectations.
