Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie (2012)

I'm not even apologetic about liking this movie. I always enjoyed Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Good Job! and the set up of the movie kind of reminded me of the underrated Weird Al movie UHF (1989). I can definitely see how people could walk away from this and curse the movie's existence for costing them precious brain cells, but really, what else was I going to do on a Thursday evening besides kill brain cells?

Captivating. At least for the first 20 minutes or so. Then it slowly starts to sink in this is nothing more than an Alien remake with great visuals. I think Scott would have done better if he just concentrated on the alien creator race issues. Good that he at least reuses H.R. Giger's designs. Well, really nothing much here, lads and lassies, besides the tense surgery scene and a very nice "navigation" scene. Scott doesn't really have it in him anymore. I'd still watch the sequel, even if I more or less know the answer to some of the unanswered questions and only if it's done by somebody other than Scott. Also humongous plot-holes. And when the Alien connection was finally made, I was way past caring.

2/10 (that's just for the visuals)

Spoiler for Slight Sixth Sense spoiler:
I remember when I first watched it at the cinema (1999), the ending actually surprised me.

When I watched it again, it was so obvious from the multitude of hints given throughout the whole thing.

I quite liked The Sixth Sense. Strange that he's made so much crap (imo).

Ginger Snaps (2000)

Decent little Canadian movie that uses lycanthropy as a metaphor for puberty. There were a few good scenes, some really subtle dark humour but this definitely isn't the movie I expected it to be from all the good things I've heard about it. If you really like werewolf movies then I'd say give this one a try, but unless it comes on TV late at night, I wouldn't rush out to go and find it.

I agree. But the old Hudson Hawk and The Fifth element are still my favorites. I have a tatoo on my leg that reminds on an alien from that movie, the good one from the beginning

Oh yeah, I love Hudson Hawk! I was actually thinking of M. Night Shyamalayalama. Sixth sense was the first movie I saw of his and the rest have been pretty crappy.

Bruce Willis still entertains me. I liked RED and he was brilliant in Wes Anderson's new movie Moonrise Kingdom.
