Black Death (2010) - Set during the time of the first outbreak of bubonic plague in England, a young monk is tasked with learning the truth about reports of people being brought back to life in a small village.

It was entertaining for a little while, but I find it disappointing by the end. I wasn't fond of the ending, nor was I really fond of the plot developments, but it was all right... As an atheist, I even ended up rooting for the Christians, but rescinded my support by the end. [4/10]

Darjeeling Limited (2007) - One year after their father's funeral, three brothers travel across India by train in an attempt to bond with one another.

I've seen this once before so I spent this run through trying to catch anything I missed, little quirky background stuff. I really enjoyed this one even on a second go around. I'm interested in the symbolism of the train ride. [8.5/10]

I took this recommendation from one of Jackhammer's posts a few years ago. I found myself thoroughly entertained, and I thank you for that JH. A little laughable at some points, but generally entertaining and interesting to watch. [8.5/10]

The Other Guys (2010) - Two mismatched New York City detectives seize an opportunity to step up like the city's top cops whom they idolize -- only things don't quite go as planned.

This was one of the most entertaining, awful/stupid movies I've ever seen. I'm hardly a Will Ferrell fan for some reason, and this is a really silly movie... It gets bonus points for raising real issues about corporate bailouts and police corruption, and I laughed a few times. [5/10]

The Bucket List (2007) - Two terminally ill men escape from a cancer ward and head off on a road trip with a wish list of to-dos before they die.

Pretty much an excuse for these two guys to travel the world on a film's budget, but it was generally heartwarming and entertaining at points, and depressing at others. Cancer is never a fun topic. [7.5/10]

Seven Samurai [Shichinin no samurai (original title)] (1954) - A poor village under attack by bandits recruits seven unemployed samurai to help them defend themselves.

Loved it. Maybe I'm just a sucker for samurais, but I really enjoyed the characters portrayed. It clocked in at over three hours, so it was solidly entertaining. I actually watched it twice. Once before I got subtitles and once after. So I really did it to death, but I found the story believable, and the action fun to watch. [9/10]

I saw bits and pieces of it when my sister was watching it. I wanna rent it and see it for myself. I'll report back when I do.

As for me, I watched the Inside Job for the third time. I love documentaries. If anyone has suggestions, let me know.

More badass than Hannah and sexier than Bourne.

Exit Through the Gift Shop is a fantastic documentary, and the controversy just makes it all the more interesting.

I actually saw that! It took me forever, because I don't have any video places that have it, but then I found it on YouTube. I guess it would be useful if I named the ones I have seen. Didn't think of that. :p:

Also if you liked Metal: A Headbanger's Journey, then maybe you should check out Sam Dunn's television spin-off Metal Evolution. It's really good if you haven't seen it, even though it is technically a television mini-series.

My friend watched this, and strongly urged me to do the same. He informed me that the Batman would freak me out.

I wasn't all that creeped out by the Batman; he seemed more sad and mouthy in a way which led me to believe strongly he was all talk. For example, he claimed to have been like, a hired assassin kinda deal, then it later showed him looking completely pathetic in a karate class.

The extremely delusional superman, however...

Wonder Woman was just kind of pathetic in a way that didn't really make me sympathize with her at all, and The Incredible Hulk actually seemed to be the kindest and most sane, although he was the only one who spent time in LA actually being homeless, I believe.

Still, kind of depressing. Aside from Wonder Woman, I kind of felt bad for the lot of them.

And, although pictured, Spider Man isn't really important in the movie at all. The main four are Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and The Incredible Hulk.

Saw this yesterday and I must say, Polanski still knows how to make amazing movies. There's no violence, blood, anything of the sort - but the title is very fitting :D If you don't mind movies with no action and special effects, movies that only consist of people talking to each other/yelling at each other, see it. It's great.

^ I can't wait to see that, the trailer is excellent and so is the cast.
