Had been meaning to watch this for a while now. It was okay. About a 6/10 or so? Yeah, that sounds about right. The pacing and everything was fine, and it was at least entertaining. Plus, much of it was supposed to take place on Fort Bragg, which I lived on for years. So, that I guess was a link that made it more relatable for me or something? I dunno.

The Last Circus. Eh. It was all right. I love circuses, but I didn't love this. I guess I liked it. The pacing was a little weird.

Bad Boy Bubby.
An Australian made film about an inbred man.
It's like a much weirder version of Forest Gump, unfortunately my copy froze before I could see the end.

It's flawed, sure (the film does leave it a bit too long before telling you what the fuck's going on in plain English, and it does get laughable towards the end - not the original intention, I'm guessing), but this is still an awesome film. It's fun to try and count what it had some sort of influence on in future sci-fi/fiction works of TV and cinema. I saw the Matrix, V For Vendetta, Buffy and Inception (and I'm sure even more besides) myself...

Was a pretty good film. I like the messages of individuality it portrays, and the script was excellently written. Carpe Diem!

Spoiler for Spoilers? Should that be my tag? why do I need an effin tag!:
Think the first half of this film was perfect. Really wish they would have stuck to the 'futuristic noir' theme throughout. None of this "Tear away the curtain to reality" nonsense that cheapens up every scifi movie of this type.

Terence Hill, as recently confirmed during an interview to an Italian TV talk-show, was offered the role but rejected it because he considered it "too violent". Dustin Hoffman and John Travolta declined the role for the same reason. When Al Pacino was considered for the role of John Rambo, he turned it down when his request that Rambo be more of a madman was rejected.

At Jackhammer's suggestion, and rightfully it's a very well shot movie, very intense surreal atmosphere(mainly due to the very odd yet awesome sound track which I felt was overbearing at first but grew on me). Fantastic colors(why do 70s movies sometimes look better than today. At least much better than 80s and 90s films?). It's not without faults(a few silly looking scenes here, and there. Continual mispronunciation of the word 'occult' int he dubbing. Said 'ahh-cult' like the guy overseeing it is some sort of Texan with a big white cowboy hat, and six shooters in his belt), but it's a damn entertaining movie.

Side note, the poster must have been made by somebody who hasn't seen it, as it seems to be a reference to not a single scene actually in the film.

Buried. Thought it was pretty good, especially the ending. Fantastic if you consider that the film in its entirety was shot in a box.

had you seen the original film and or read the book?

i feel like Dark City is just one of those films that is very difficult to really dislike.....kind of like Shawshank Redemption

the book literally took a piece of my soul with it when i finished reading it....and the movie is just about the same....although there seemed to be a bit of hope in the movie.....still very well done and fairly true to the book.....just wow.....hopeless beyond beleif
