wow.....i watched this series back when they were first coming to the states.....and loved everyone...it really is an amazing story....a few years ago i read that they were releasing a sort of re-telling in three movies.....i'm not really into Japanese animation much anymore....but i went and saw the fist part in the theater....for the most part it was a re-editing of the first 5 or so episodes....not much new but seriously still very enjoyable.....an old friend lent me this one last night and.....

DAMN this is good.....completely new characters, footage etc....yet sticking to the same story....i cannot wait for part three

Moneyball - 2011

Bleh, it has some moments, but I'd never watch it again.

I think I may have liked this more if I didn't follow sports at all. More than half of what this movie said I've heard dozens of times from ESPN.

There aren't any real characters in this either. The performances were OK but it didn't matter because I didn't care for any of them.

It's also filled with the slowest and longest montages I've ever seen. It could lose 30m easy (It's about 2:07).

2/5

One of the few 'classic' type movies that didn't disappoint. Solid writing throughout, very watchable, and entertaining.

Yeah, I wasn't sure what to expect at first. Seems controversial.

I have only seen Infernal Affairs up till this. I can't really remember being THAT involved with a movie before this for a long time. Takes the basic plot and revamps it, adding some quality drama and genuine suspense, and the "shock" ending is amplified a whole lot more. My only gripes? The Jack Nicholson character is all black and the Martin Sheen character is all white. And I'm too disengaged from sympathising with any of the main characters. But still excellent. - 9/10

Spoiler for damned dirty spoiler:
there were two moles in the mafia, and another mole in the FBI along with the police one

^That fake poster for The Departed is hilarious. The weird buildings that look nothing like the Boston skyline crack me up. The guy who made it probably should have referenced the real poster which uses the actual skyline of the city.
