you might enjoy it, it was the best one yet imo.
I saw it in 3-D but meh 3-D didn't really add to the movie much imo. The combat scenes were pretty damn great with them using swords and guns Quote:
Cronos, I know nothing about. I think I have heard someone name drop it but that's about it. Let The Right One In/ Let Me In, I have both of those movies on my netflix list....I should probably move them up and watch because they are pretty far down on it. The last three you suggested , I have seen already numerous times except for Fright Night. I need to re-watch that one because I don't remember it too well.

i don't understand the hate - sure it's contrived and the subtext trite, but it was executed beautifully Quote:
but agree with you about the homoeroticism between Magneto and Proefessor X (they should have just followed Wolverine's advice, instead of becoming foes at the end) and January Jones |

Cronos, I think, is one of the better Del Toro movies, I liked it, but it might be a bit ponderous for you Let The Right One In/ Let Me In - there's no point watching both, the second is almost a scene-by-scene remake of the first if you do want to watch it, watch the original Swedish version |

I don't really like Kevin Bacon to be honest, but as he played a villain its easier to hate him for killing Erik's mum, rather than an actor I would have liked. And YAAAAY, they are so gay for each other. Its adorable. After I saw it I felt like weeping kittens from the cuteness. Those bits where they just looked into eachothers eyes and like, cried. I saw a gif the other day which was a play on that 'Peace was never an option' line which said 'Heterosexuality was never an option'. I love fangirls. Wolverine's cameo was good, even though its always slightly pissed me off that Hugh Jackman is nothing like the real comic version of Wolverine's ment to be. But hey, thats Hollywood. I know, JJ was a disappointment. And I love her so much in Mad Men |

i dunno, Jackman's portrayal of Wolverine is not faithful to the comics, but i like his version - but it is of course Jackman's Wolverine and not Marvel's Wolverine - i think if they wanted to stay that faithful to the comics, they should have gotten Russell Crowe to play him |

I'm happy they chose Hugh Jackman, as he is really good in the character he plays. But he completely re-defines him. I agree with what you say about his Wolverine and Marvel's Wolverine. They are completely different, but HJ plays his version well and makes him very convincing. If I wasn't a fan of the comics beforehand, I'd totally vouch for him being the man, rather than slightly holding the 'he should be short and charming' grudge. |

Frailty (2002) Directorial debut for actor Bill Paxton about a widower who believes God wants him and his sons to destroy demons masquerading as real people. Very well presented and subtle in the way it does horror. It's not particularly grotesque but it still manages to get across a sense of unease and dread without relying on cheap tricks. It also works well on a psychological level too, leaving you to question if Bill Paxton and his family really can see demons, or whether they're just killing innocent people. If you're into psychological thrillers I would highly recommend this one. |
