I wanted to see that new Red Riding Hood movie so I searched the torrents, but couldn't find a dvdrip anywhere. Since I was in the mood to watch a horror styled Red Riding Hood, I did a little research and decided to settle for what I thought was the next best thing, a horror film from 2003 (also titled Red Riding Hood).

Oh, my GOD how I was wrong. This is officially the WORST PIECE OF CRAP I have ever seen. I never thought that I would say this, but "The Hottie And The Nottie" was better than this.

Delicatessen is pretty bizarre. Also try The City Of Lost Children, by the same director(s), if you happen to like Delicatessen, that is.

I guess I will have to wait for the real thing until then. I just hope it's worth the wait.

Oh, I super-love Delicatessen. Actually watched it because I saw Amelie a few years ago, and its having the same directors of Amelie contributed to my strong desire to see it. Turns out, Delicatessen is actually even more my kind of movie. Dark humor is one of my true loves.

A lot of people I've talked to have expressed nothing but disdain for Ra's Al Ghul. They seem to think he sucks, but I think that he's actually a really unique and interesting character.

I do kind of dislike that Scarecrow was more of a secondary storyline, though. He's pretty wild.

The scene with the laser-shooting pony unintentionally had me pissing myself. I agree that it's a shame Cillian Murphy's character wasn't played up better.

I though The Dark Knight was miles better than the reboot. I don't really know of the next one can top it either. Ledger carried it.

Maybe they can utilize Bale more.

Ra's Al Ghul is much more interesting in the comics

Scarecrow I thought was done pretty well

Ra's Al Ghul is definitely more interesting in the comics. That's probably why I love that character so much, actually. I like my villains misguided, and Ra's is definitely misguided - to say the very least.

Also, Scarecrow was played well for sure in the films. He's just one of the villains I'd much prefer seeing as having a primary storyline and not being a really strong part of the action but still secondary in his way.

Still very cool portrayal.

And as someone mentioned earlier: Yes, I much preferred Dark Knight, due in no small part to Ledger's performance.

I think Tom Hardy as Bane in the next one is a great choice.

Really surprised by how well the casting has been for the new batman films

ThePhanastasio 05-24-2011 11:25 PM

Oh, definitely great casting. I'm just kind of saddened because Bane really is one of my absolute least favorite Batman villains. Hopefully they'll do great things with him in the story, though.
