The only Star Fox game Rare made was Star Fox Adventures, which despite not being anything like a Star Fox game, it looks pretty damn good and I want to get it. 64 was the last Star Fox that Nintendo actually made themselves so that might be why the other games stray so far away from the original formula. |

It's basically a Zelda game right? Just with furries, spaceships and dinosaurs.
Sounds like a solid purchase to me. |

I don't like Melee or Brawl. I like the simplicity of the old SSB. Plus, the game wasn't a complete button masher. The newer ones are like SSB on crack. I still play my friends in that game and it has been around for quite a long time. I have even gotten pretty good with Jigglypuff. However, I still do not understand the Rest move enough to utilize it well. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not.

Button mashing is something people use when moves seem to come out at random and they don't know what the button sequences are. Do you seriously find it that hard to remember button sequences in a Smash game? I confess to sometimes resorting to button mashing in some fighting games where moves are too complex to figure out, but Smash Bros is not one of those games, I have never done any button mashing for a smash game, ever. You try playing a match against someone of competent skill at the game by just button mashing, you won't last 5 seconds. Last edited by boo boo; 10-10-2009 at 12:29 PM. |

Super Smash Bros has always been about accessibility as a fighter, so no, button-mashing is probably a waste of time as each character only has 4special moves anyway that only require you to press in 2 buttons at the same time.
Oh, and what I'd like to see in the next Brawl would be different f*cking Smash moves. I disliked pretty much all of the ones in SSBB. It's a nice idea, but I disliked the way it was utilised.

I don't see anything wrogn witht the Smash moves, they're just not as overpowered as they were in Melee.
The overall feel of Brawl's characters and controls for me, is a lot more closer to the original SSB than Melee. SSB was a fighting game for casual gamers, Melee got more of a hardcore following, and instead of giving in to fan expections, with Brawl Sakurai stuck to what he thinks the series is truly about. If you want a fighting game with super unbalanced characters and impossible to learn techniques, then stick with Tekken. Smash Bros is not for you. Last edited by boo boo; 10-10-2009 at 11:22 PM. |

Those are called Final Smashes, your powered up A attacks are also called smashes so it's easy to get confused there.
I love the final smashes, they're incredibly cheap, but that's the fun of it, it just adds more randomness and mayhem to a game that is supposed to be about randomness and mayhem. I do wish they were more balanced though, Donkey Kong's FS is way too easy to avoid, while surviving Sonic's FS is pretty much impossible. |

I do love the concept of a Final Smash, but I just don't think they were utilised as well as they could have been. I mean, Fox, Falco and Wolf all have practically exactly the same Final Smash.
