The whole friend code crap Nintendo insist on annoys me a lot, i can understand that obviously you're going to get some bad folk with online play but Nintendo are being far too protective.
No records and league tables is silly as well, Smash Bros is one of the few games i'm good at so i'm annoyed i can't show it off!

Well if its anything like Mario Strikers it should be alright, just as long as arseholes don't log off seconds before they lose
This and Mario Kart should rock!

I'm not big fan of online gaming anyway. Though it would be a great substitute for when I can't find anyone to play with me at home.

sums up online play for this generation of console gaming.

the friend code thing isn't that bad if you can get an ample amount of friends to exchange with you. but then Nintendo implemented a cap of 64 friends -_-

at least brawl has online as opposed to Metroid3 which lacks multiplayer entirely

I'll be honest though and say i'm not a fan of Metroid. Don't know why, just doesn't tickle my fancy. A multiplayer may change my mind though because i do love online gaming. The day Battlefront 2 stopped working on my computer was a very sad day

First Person Shooters tend to be the most fun with multiplayer. And I've heard Metroid Prime Hunters was awesome. Seems kinda inconsistant for the series to abandon multiplayer after having successfully used it before.

I have to say though, I do love the MP series, but the best Metroid games are still the platformers IMO. Super Metroid ftw.

I downloaded super metroid. I thought i'd be able to blast through it like i did fusion, but god damn is that game tough

hunters was really fun (until the top screen on my DS shattered) and had some good diversity due to the specialization that each character had (I was a samus player because of the homing missles). Also the online play was great and actually had some voice communication (though limited to before and after matches that weren't anonymous matches)


that being said I'm really looking foward to Mario Cart Wii, hopefully there won't be the bullsh*t that is snaking in this one.

You can now have 12 karts in a race, and from what I've heard, up to 12 people can play together online.

Sounds great, I don't know how Nintendo could possibly f*ck that up, but maybe they'll find a way.
