Alright, I am going to necro this thread, because I feel like it. Anyways, I wanted to know if anyone knew of any political animes, or ones that had to do with a large scale revolution. I am just looking for one right now.

Hmm... Thats a tough one, while its not unusual for Anime to have political overtones, I can't really think of any Anime that directly deals with a political issue.

Except for the anti-war classic Grave of the Fireflies.

Death Note is amazing, though the end annoyed me. Not that it is bad, but I didn't like how it ended up.

Yeah that is why I asked. The only political stuff I know of deals with samurai, but I hate that area of history. Anyways I will check out Grave of the Fireflies.

Beck is pretty good, but I am not really into that type of anime that much. I like anime with high drama where you are on the edge of your seat the whole time, like the best anime, Monster.

BTW if anyone is cool and downloads fansubs, the site in my sig distros tons of free fansubs via XDCC, and torrent. We had DDL, but that is a *** way to download anyways so yeah. You don't have to use the forums or anything, but I would encourage it because they are sort of inactive right now, at least compared to a site like this. Our mIRC channel is awesome too. And we aren't a noob site or anything. We have been in it for awhile, but we have run into a lot of different dramas site wise so yeah.

Omg yes, I'm just 15 episodes in, but it's definitely up there with Death note, too bad the animation isn't on the same level...

I just think the time period is so annoying. I am much more into things that involve "dark" politics and shady stuff with conspiracy theories and stuff.

Yeah the animation isn't too good, but I honestly don't care much about the animation. I am much more into the story.
