I really hope they make more Tanya. I'm too lazy to get into the light novel.

Tomie is pretty great, I think I lent my copy to a friend and still haven't gotten it back yet.

I know some light novels are actually supposed to be good but I'm still dubious about translated genre fiction for teenagers. I think I'm just an anime curmudgeon tbh. I harrumph at light novels, dubs, and the latest shonen battle anime all the kids are talking about (you know the one).

Also I'm sipping on Hellsing Ultimate atm. Watching an episode or two a night and also rewatching it with the commentary track. The commentary tracks are extra great for me now since they all include the director of the dub, one Taliesin Jaffe who also just so happens to be a cast member from Critical Role (the DnD roleplaying channel that is ****ing amazing with Taliesin probably being my fav cast member), something that tripped me the **** out when I discovered Critical Role cause I was already well acquainted with the commentary tracks on Hellsing Ultimate and some Ultimate con panels with him. And I just can't ****ing wait to get to the invasion of London for some Nazi vampire carnage.

You know earlier on this site I claimed that Evangelion was the best show ever made and while that's a hard claim to make even to myself, I find it a surprisingly easy claim to make that Hellsing Ultimate is the greatest big dumb action thing ever made. All of 80s action movies would be included, anything by Schwarzenegger, even Terminator movies would qualify, Predator would qualify, basically anything that exists to be an action spectacle is inferior to Hellsing Ultimate.

I mean episode 1 of Hellsing Ultimate does not sell this idea so ignore it but episode 2 absolutely does and is one of the most bombass action sequences ever created and then there's a whole series to deal with after that. So if you make it to episode 2 and somehow don't soil your underwear then you're lucky cause your underwear still isn't safe.

I ****ing love nerdy ass analysis and speculative videos on Berserk. There's a whole subculture of this **** that I don't know has equivalents for any other anime or manga. Berserk fans are simply an obsessive and unwashed lot to be feared.



Also I've started the process of collecting the deluxe hardcover 7"x10" editions of the Berserk manga and will probably end up gifting my smaller volumes to a friend as they are replaced. Cause OMG must have the best versions possible of all Berserk and then spread the gospel to the heathens.

Nice. I've seen similar styled vids for Hunter X Hunter, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and also Golgo 13. It's always the good ones that get those kinds of videos.

Just got vol 2 of the deluxe edition of Berserk (vol 1 and 3 are on the way but I could get 2 for cheaper from Instocktrades) and it's almost exactly this size, maybe a quarter inch smaller than the actual book. Not even taking it out of the plastic until the others get here.
