Pretty sure the current series has scuttled any chance of that. If it succeeds it'll be a longass series people won't want to watch again. If it fails nobody will want to take that chance again. And either way nobody will try again for years and years and years. I'd like to build a time machine and murder in the crib the guy who floated the idea of 3D animation for Berserk. I had to tolerate it for the 2nd movie, and I'm too depressed by the thought of the TV series to even watch it.

Yeah that's a fun as hell show. The dialogue is kinda tryhard with all the colorful language but it's still a nice change of pace from anime dialogue. The show was written by Warren Ellis too, one of the most respected people in comics. While I haven't read it his Transmetropolitan series is supposed to be insanely good but I can corroborate that his 12 issue run on Thunderbolts is modern comics at its absolute best.

Ohh, ive heard good things about Transmetro.. and yeah, the language didnt really fit, but it was some nice comic relief for an otherwise gruesome story. The dickwart thing actually got an lol out of me.

I'm gonna reiterate that Ellis' Thunderbolts is great and you should read it. It made the Green Goblin cool again and Norman Osborne's descent into becoming the Green Goblin again while having a breakdown is one of my absolute favorite moments in the last twenty years of superhero comics. The mad dialogue he had with himself is just so much fun. I really hope it gets used somewhere in the next few years of the MCU and I kinda think that's the direction Marvel/Disney actually is going.
