There's good and bad just like any genre. Re:Zero, for example, has some stuff in it that rivals Berserk in sheer ****uppery as it's story progresses. But I'd say quality is the exception rather than the rule.

Also, Now And Then, Here And There is really early 00's and something of a cult classic. Different pedigree of quality overall.

Been rewatching The Woman Called Fujiko Mine over the last few days, and I still can't even be bothered by the wacko plotlines 'cause the animation is just so purty

That's where that gif came from? Cause I Googled it and got Lupin III and didn't believe it for a second. The animation was modern gorgeous and I wanted it but wasn't about to be hornswaggled.

What, the bong rip? That's from one of the movie spin-offs of the series.

If you like ridiculous amounts of tits and bullets and a weird art style, aye

The show that started it all, way back in '79.

And you know what? For a '70s anime about big robots, it's actually way ****ing better than it has any right to be. Serious without being boring, funny without being retarded, and meaningful without being overwrought.

Hell ****ing yes. I believe I've said the same. I haven't finished the series which is like 50 episodes long and I hear it has too many episodes but in general it's much better than the Gundam series you saw on Toonami.

The Gundam Seed hate lives on

One of my favorite non-Digibro anime rants:
