I'm 200% sure that they will. It's one of the biggest things to happen to the industry in a while and they'd be stupid not to milk it out.
But yeah, I'm completely hooked. I even caved and started reading the manga. If you can, wait until the second season though, because everything has a much bigger impact in the animation than the comic imo. The poignant soundtrack, the extras, and the ridiculous animation all add to it.
EDIT: Oh yeah, they're releasing an OST around December 12th as well.

So...here it is 2016 and still no word as to Season 2, I was ready 2 years ago, WTF???

(also, miss Gunnie)

So...nobody? Is AoT not a thing anymore? I've deliberately avoided this topic (please, no spoilers, I haven't given up hope on part 2) but I sure hope it's gonna happen. I'm not really an anime/manga guy but I was riveted by AoT.

So I'm exploring mechas right now. I'm hooked on Eva and I can't wait to get to the movies. After that, I'm not sure where to go. I migh do Mobile Suit Gundam to try the "earlier" mechas. After that, I'll go with Code Geass.
