This anime is becoming like Breaking Bad. I've never seen it, and since I have to hear everyone and their mother go on about it I almost don't want to watch it out of spite. I know I'll probably love it, but until I see it I vaguely hate it for no good reason.

exactly how i feel.

I haven't seen it, but taking down titans is not something new, that's pretty much what they do in evangelion except they call them by a different name.

That said, i haven't seen AOT so it's likely im dead wrong.

Attack On Titan was a popular manga before the anime adaptation took off: the only reason its gotten so huge internationally since is because it did a pretty damn good job at bringing the story to life.

That being said, its a very different creature from both Berserk and NGE in a lot of ways, so its worth a marathon session I'd say.

I should hope so. There's only so many day-long, suicidal thought-inducing, anime binges that I can take.

I'm not a manga/anime fan, my brother played the first episode for me and I was riveted. It was excellent horror. The underlying theme isn't just outsized humanoids threatening the human race.

I'm hearing now that the second season isn't likely until next year.

I'm not an anime fan either, but I do like Hayao Miyazaki and some of Makoto Shinkai works. The last one I've seen was The Garden of Words, really good one.

I wasn't even aware of it, but I'm interested now. As for Makoto Shinkai, I loved Voices of a Distant Star.

Love that show. It falls victim to many of the worst anime cliches, but it's far too charming to make me care. And even if the serious moments can be unintentionally goofy sometimes, I still love it. And Balalaika can get it.
