i watched the series twice (seeing as it was so short) and i still have no idea what to think.

It's a little something called "brutal as fuck". Simple logic.

Nothing confusing. FLCL = Brutal as a bear.

The show's big theme is maturity. The mature, pessimistic protagonist caught up in one crazy happening after another.

The running gag in the show is that the kids (Naota, Mamimi and Eri) are mature and intelligent, while the adults (Kamon and Amarao) are a bunch of ranting idiots. Then there's Haruko who is just a psychopath and is the catalyst for the story.

I've never seen it.
