GT wasnt even by the original author so it pretty much blew. i never got into it. But i'm pretty sure the black kid in GT was Uub.

For a moment I thought he was referring to the film Princess Mononoke.

Which if you haven't seen, get it NOW, actually, you need to see Hayao Miyazaki's whole filmography, it's that good.

You should see it, it sets a new standard for anime, both in style and direction. I don't wanna raise your expectations too high, but some scenes literally blew my mind. It's short and sweet, only 12 episodes.

but yeah princess mononoke is in my top 10 favorite movies...real or animated

Wolf's Rain is really bad compared to other manga that gets that much hype.
