i read somewhere stephen king hasn't liked a single movie adaptation of any of his books. i do like original shining and i saw that tv movie you are talking about, too...it was really bad. i knew as soon as they replaced him flipping a driver off with "hey buddy, read between the lines" it was going to be no good.
the book was amazing as well...i really liked carrie, too
