She was fired, actually. Not for her book recommendations, though.

And I don't really see how "Melville isn't for those who don't like reading" is a valid criticism. You can say that about virtually any book.

Just got Stefan Sagmeister's Things I have learned in my Life so far in the mail. Not a novel, but still interesting. I'd recommend it to anyone here interested in graphic design.
