This just came in the mail and I'm going to read along with the Prancing Pony podcast chapter by chapter. I think it's been high school since I read it.

Recently finished Giovanni's room by James Baldwin, I didn't like it as much as Go tell it on a mountain, despite the gay theme.

Currently reading:

The book of evidence - John Banville

The sea blew me away, this one isn't as impactful but the prose is of course beautiful so I'm not too fussed about the plot.

Confessions of a mask - Yukio Mishima

Didn't like. Confessions of a pretentious adolescent sadomasochist. Clunky prose.

Almost finished with Dickens now. At least, in terms of novels. We're on Dombey and Son now, which I think only leaves The Pickwick Papers. I might do some sort of overall review when we've done them all. Yes that is a threat.
