After about three months, if not more, I am still trying to read The Stand. I have had the misfortune of picking up two agonizingly boring books back to back, and I just can't bring myself to finish it in spite of how popular it is.

After 250 pages just about nothing has developed, and I know there are still 600 or so to go. Someone tell me why I should keep reading this.

If you're older than 15 or 16, The Stand is probably not worth finishing.
If you're in that age range, The Stand is AMAZING!
