I just re-read Les Claypool's book, South of the Pumphouse, for the first time since around when it came out:

Kind of reads like a John Steinbeck, Cannery Row style... and Les' setting is only a short car ride north, in the east Bay Area.

Moving on to re-read one of my other favorite bass player's books...
Victor Wooten's "The Music Lesson"

Which reads a bit more like a Carlos Castaneda written Don Juan spiritual journey type. Very excited to re-read it as a friend of mine had borrowed it 6 months ago after I finished and I finally got it back!
