Just started both of these, and just finished:

Which was a little bit of a let down after everything I'd heard about it, to be honest. I was really hoping for something much more disturbing and revealing. Instead of the emotional challenge the quotes on the book promised, I mostly found myself going "I pretty much agree with this, though that might've been a bit harsh for the situation".

That's almost exactly what Bradley Denton said his wife said when she read the book. I think that's what he was going for. Plus he's kind of known for quirky slightly humorous stories so truly disturbing content is probably not going to be in the cards for any of his books, it certainly hasn't been in the three I've read.

Well in that case, it was a success. It wasn't a bad book by any means, it was a good story and Morton is possibly my favourite character from any novel I've ever read; I just had different expectations for it from what I'd heard about it.
