Almost done with this one. Such a great read, I've managed to breeze right through it. I'm not sure I would call it one of the most important books of the moment like I've seen some people call it online, but it's definitely on my recommendation list.

Only started this one, it's a bit hard to get into, plus I stopped reading it to read "The Help". But I'm still looking forward to picking it back up.

And when those two are done, I'll be reading this:

Teehee...can't wait!

That book is interesting. Kind of flawed in weird way but still good. I'll be curious to hear your take on it when you're finished.

Coincidentally, I'm currently reading a book that Achebe was famously critical of:

Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad
In the debate over whether or not this book is racist, I would it most certainly is, but mostly it's a product of it's time. It's still a great book so far.

I want to get into some Joseph Conrad books. Thought of starting with 'Lord Jim'.

Terence Hill, as recently confirmed during an interview to an Italian TV talk-show, was offered the role but rejected it because he considered it "too violent". Dustin Hoffman and John Travolta declined the role for the same reason. When Al Pacino was considered for the role of John Rambo, he turned it down when his request that Rambo be more of a madman was rejected.
Al Pacino = God
