Here's a cartoon that kinda summerizes the plot. (I still like the books thought, not going to lie, it kinda sucks you in, and it's a quick read too)

I got a stack of Graham Greene's works for Christmas and I'm steadily working my way through them.

Reading The Human Factor now.

Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke

>.> I finished Mystic River.
Have any of you seen the movie?
Once again, the book is better. >.<

Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrel is cut into three parts. The first two are very very boring, but the third is so good it almost makes up for it.

Arya Stark 12-28-2008 01:25 PM

I'm not that bored by it, actually.

=3 Maybe it's just me?

What did you read it for?

Fruitonica 12-28-2008 09:58 PM

After christmas I've built up a small to read pile.

Iron Council - China Mieville
Heaven's Net is Wide - Lian Hearn
Olympos - Dan Simmons
Shogun - James Clevell

It's definitely slow paced, but I wouldn't really call it boring.

FaSho 12-29-2008 01:55 PM

Exactly. the book moves so slowly that it's almost a challenge to get to the amazing ending.
